The Ethics of Immortality Talk

We’ve spent our whole history assuming that death is inevitable. What if it isn’t? Join a group of women for a thought-provoking evening followed by dinner.

About Event

In The Ethics of Immortality, international bestselling novelist Neal Shusterman, who has imagined a world that has ‘cured’ death, sits down with philosopher Dr Tim Dean, who studies how our mortality helps shape who we are, to discuss what we’d lose if we won the fight against death. Who gets to live forever? What is a life with no ending for? And would you say yes if offered the chance to live forever?

The Ethics of…’ is an event series where we freely examine the experiences, hopes and challenges that make us truly human; from the good to the bad and everything in between. Each event is an intimate conversation, led by a philosopher, with opportunities for the audience to share their experiences, views and learn from each other.
